ਬੜਾ ਪਿੰਡ, 28 ਜੂਨ 2025 — ਯੰਗ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਕਲੱਬ ਬੜਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ, ਬੜਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੂਲ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ 25 ਅਤੇ 26 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਣਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ 26 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੀਂਹ ਪੈ ਜਾਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ 28 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਰਾੜੀ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ 42 ਅੰਕ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਦਕਿ ਗੁਰਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ 33 ਅੰਕ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹੀ।
ਮਨਰਾਜ (ਬੜਾ ਪਿੰਡ) ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼, ਹਰਜੋਤ (ਸਮਰਾੜੀ) ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਨੀ ਬੈਂਸ (ਸਮਰਾੜੀ) ਨੂੰ ਮੈਨ ਆਫ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ₹6100 ਨਗਦ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਫੀ, ਜਦਕਿ ਰਨਰਅੱਪ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ₹4100 ਨਗਦ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 32 ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਫੀਸ ₹500 ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਪਤਵੰਤੇ ਸੱਜਣ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਰਹੇ। ਇਹ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕਾਬਿਲ-ਏ-ਤਾਰੀਫ਼ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਸੀ।

Grand Cricket Tournament Organized by Young Sports Club Bara Pind, Samrari Team Crowned Champions
Bara Pind, June 28, 2025 — A spectacular cricket tournament was organized by Young Sports Club Bara Pind at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium, Bara Pind. The tournament was initially scheduled for June 25 and 26, but due to rain on June 26, the final match was postponed and held on June 28.
In the final match, the Samrari team secured the first position with 42 points, while the Goraya team finished as runners-up with 33 points.
Among the outstanding performers, Manraj from Bara Pind was named Best Bowler, Harjot from Samrari was declared Best Batsman, and Karni Bains from Samrari was awarded the Man of the Series title.
The winning team was honored with ₹6100 in cash and a trophy, while the runner-up team received ₹4100 and a trophy.
A total of 32 teams participated in the tournament, with an entry fee of ₹500 per team. Apart from the enthusiastic youth, many respected personalities from the village were also present to witness the event.
The tournament proved to be an excellent effort to promote sportsmanship, unity, and youth engagement in the community.
