Free Medical Camp Held at Guru Amar Das Ji Old Age Home on the Occasion of World Hypertension Month
Bara Pind, (12 June 2025): On the occasion of World Hypertension Month, a free medical camp was organized at Guru Amar Das Ji Old Age Home by the Community Health Centre (CHC) Bara Pind under the guidance of Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurmeet Lal.
The camp was led by Ayurvedic Medical Officer Dr. Baljinder Singh, who provided detailed information on the causes, symptoms, treatment, and prevention of hypertension. Senior Medical Officer Dr. Amita Luna stated that the objective of the camp was to spread awareness about high blood pressure among the people and to encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle for its prevention and control.
A large number of elderly residents from the old age home participated in the camp. Free blood pressure check-ups, medical consultations, and medicines were provided. Participants were also educated on how to naturally control hypertension through yoga, balanced diet, and regular exercise.
The camp was appreciated by the management of the ashram. Managers Jeevan Kumar and Des Raj termed it a commendable effort by CHC Bara Pind for the welfare of the community. Health Supervisor Satnam Singh and Block Educator Preetinder Singh were also present on the occasion.
This camp was part of an ongoing health awareness initiative aimed at promoting public health and well-being in the community.

ਬੜਾ ਪਿੰਡ, (12 June 2025): ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਹਾਈ ਬਲੱਡ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ਼ਰ (ਹਾਈਪਰਟੈਂਸ਼ਨ) ਮਹੀਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਹੈਲਥ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਬੜਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਲਾਲ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਵਿਰਧ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕੈਂਪ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਕੈਂਪ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਆਯੁਰਵੇਦਿਕ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਅਫਸਰ ਡਾ. ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਈਪਰਟੈਂਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣਾਂ, ਲੱਛਣਾਂ, ਇਲਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰਪੂਰਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਅਫਸਰ ਡਾ. ਅਮਿਤਾ ਲੂਨਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੈਂਪ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਚ ਰਕਤਚਾਪ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਫੈਲਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਰਧ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਰਕਤਚਾਪ ਜਾਂਚ, ਸਲਾਹ-ਮਸ਼ਵਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਵੰਡੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਯੋਗ, ਕਸਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹਾਈਪਰਟੈਂਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਯੰਤ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਕੈਂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਹੈਲਥ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਹੈਲਥ ਸੁਪਰਵਾਈਜ਼ਰ ਸਤਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਐਜੂਕੇਟਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਇੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
ਇਹ ਕੈਂਪ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਲੜੀ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਹਤ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵੱਲ ਇਕ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਪਗ ਹੈ।
