Inflation is rising day by day. Livestock fodder is becoming more expensive. Livestock costs have risen. Milk producers do not agree with the current price of milk. He argues that just as the prices of other commodities like diesel and petrol are going up, so should the price of milk. The milk farmers of Barapind left for Chandigarh by bus to present their demands before the Punjab Government. Among them were Buta Singh, Kuljinder Singh Kalirai, Prince, Gurdeep Singh, Doctor, Lakhwinder Singh and others.

ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਦਿਨੋਂ ਦਿਨ ਵਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਚਾਰਾ ਮਹਿੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਦੇ ਖਰਚੇ ਵਧ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਦੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਮੌਜ਼ੂਦ ਭਾਅ ਹੈ, ਦੁੱਧ ਉਤਪਾਦਕ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਰਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ, ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਦਾ ਭਾਅ ਵਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਦੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਭਾਅ ਵਧਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੜਾਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਉਤਪਾਦਕ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਬੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਜਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੂਟਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕੁਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਲੀਰਾਏ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸ, ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾਕਟਰ, ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਾਿਮਲ ਸਨ।
